Rajkummar Rao (born on 31 August 1984), also known as Rajkumar Yadav, is an Indian actor. Rajkummar has established a career in Hindi cinema and is the recipient of several awards, including a National Film Award, three Filmfare Awards, and an Asia Pacific Screen Award. Rao graduated from the University of Delhi and went on to study acting at the Film and Television Institute of India and graduated from there in 2008. Rajkummar then moved to Mumbai and made his film debut with the experimental anthology film Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010). After some brief roles, he had his breakthrough with the drama film Kai Po Che! (2013). Rajkummar rose to prominence with his portrayal of Shahid Azmi in the critically acclaimed biographical drama Shahid (2013), for which he was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actor also the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. Rajkummar went on to feature in the successful romantic comedy Queen (2014) and starred in the acclaimed dramas CityLights (2014), Aligarh (2016), and Trapped (2016). The last of these earned Raj another Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. Among Rajkummar 2017 releases, the romantic comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi and the black comedy Newton were both commercial successes and won him several accolades including the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for the former also the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Actor for the latter. Rajkummar's highest-grossing release came with the horror-comedy Stree (2018).

Rao was born as Raj Kumar Yadav in India, Gurugram. He graduated Atma ram Sanatan dharma college,(Delhi University) and was simultaneously doing theatre with Kshitij Repertory and Shri Ram Centre in Delhi. In two thousand eight, Rajkummar graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune and shifted to Mumbai for a film career. Rao cites Shah Rukh Khan as his inspiration to act: "If an outsider could make it as big as him, then maybe there was hope for me." Rajkummar does not have any previous connections with Bollywood or star kid status but his net worth is $10 million. Which is higher than some star kids.

Affairs: Unlike many other actors, he never involved in affairs controversy. He having a clean character image. Where he dating actress Patralekha.
Comment on CAA/NRC: He came into support with people opposing CAA and NRC. He gave some comments by supporting CAA and NRC. Because of this, he got controversy and he got some haters, lovers.
Eating Non-Veg: He is the vegetarian but he admitted that in some movie scenes he eat non-veg on demand for the first time.
Leaving '5 Weddings' movie: He leaves '5 Weddings'  movie, in between. Then Namrata Singh Gujral director of the film shown her anger on social media she said "Either he didn't want it to release in India or do the Hindi dub or thought it was just a small film, but I have never seen an actor behave like he did. I don't think I can forgive him for that.".
Comment on Smiriti Irani: In one award show, he commented on Smriti Irani and spoke jokes about her. But he later apologized and said he was not intentionally made the joke.
Supporting Kabir Singh: During Kabir Singh release some people came against the movie and said its showing, motivating unnecessary stuff to the audience. When the media asked Rajkumar's opinion he said he is happy with the movie, also he supports the movie.
Judgemental hai kya controversy: In his movie "Judgemental hai kya", he acted with Kangana's big actress. The media said this will be is a game-changer and after this movie, he gets big fam. But Rajkumar said, "he is happy with being small actors don't want to involve in controversies".
