Affairs: Like all the actors he never involves in affair controversy. He only dated and married Akanksha Sharma.
Supporting AIB: Bollywood was against the AIB a comedy team. AIB basically do comedy shows, comedy scripts. In their many shows, they criticized and made fun of Bollywood and Bollywood stars. Most Bollywood stars were against AIB on other hands Divyendu Sharma supported them and said "Personally I don't have any problem with that. As a society, if people can crack jokes on each other, I think there is no harm in that, and if they (Ranveer and Arjun) have no problems with the jokes that AIB team were making on them, I don't think anyone else should have a problem either. I don't think it is a big issue. Maybe it's because of the generation gap. Some may like and some won't".
Shukranu controversy: Divyendu Sharma acted in the ZEE5 show Shukranu. This show was based on forced sterilization. Divyendu shared "We Do Not Intend To Hurt Anyone’s Feelings Through Our Humorous Spin On Forced Sterilisation". [Source]
