Arun Govil (born on 12 January 1958 in Ramnagar, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India) is an Indian actor and producer. Arun Govil is popularly known for his role as "Lord Rama" in Ramayan (1987-88). Arun is the son of Chandra Prakash Govil. Arun married Shrilekha Govil and they having one son Amal Govil and one daughter Sonika Govil. Arun debuted to Bollywood with the movie Paheli for Balram's role in 1977. Arun debuted to Bengali movies with Bidhir Bidhan in 1989. Arun debuted to Bhojpuri movies with Pyari Dulhaniya in 1989. He debuted to Telugu movies with Edu Kondalaswamy in 1991. In 1999 Arun debuted to Kannada movies with Upendra movie. Varun debuted to TV career with Vikram Aur Betaal in 1985 as the role of King Vikramaditya.
